Staebler Insurance and the Charity and Community Involvement Committee are very proud to share our donation to Tiny Home Takeout.

Founded in early 2021, Tiny Home Takeout prepares and cooks out of the commercial kitchen at St. Mary’s Church in downtown Kitchener. Chef Amy Cyr and their tireless volunteers serve up calzones and a “Daily Bite” offering. They follow their principle that the same quality food available to the wealthy should be available to people who are struggling or unhoused.

Since Tiny Home Takeout’s opening, Staebler has been a proud supporter of their important work by donating funds, volunteering time, and being involved with their Hunger No More fundraising events. This year, to commemorate our 150th year celebrations, Staebler provided a larger donation to help ensure they can continue the important work of serving people who need it most.

Tiny Home Takeout is open every week, Tuesday-Saturday, 5:00-6:30 p.m., serving hot meals from their tiny home setup on the corner of Duke and Young Streets in downtown Kitchener. They have recently opened two satellite locations to reach more people in neighbourhoods across the city.

How to Help Tiny Home Takeout

They are open to anyone stopping in for a meal and encourage donations from people who can afford to do so. Their motto is “Grab a Bite. Give if you can.” They want community members to stop by and try their quality meals including calzones and a rotating special item called a “Daily Bite”.
