Staebler Insurance celebrated its milestone 150th anniversary throughout 2023 and we could not be prouder to share the contributions made in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and the surrounding Waterloo Region townships..

When our Charity & Community Involvement Committee knew we would be reaching this milestone, they focused on making an impact on as many organizations as possible throughout our community.

Prior to the start of the year, the Staebler Executive Team made the generous decision to award unlimited volunteer days to staff, and set a special donation budget to be used for local, needs-based charities and organizations.

After more than 11 months of our committee’s work, it is a great honour to share that more than $208,000 in financial contributions have been made to more than 70 charitable causes, community groups, and organizations. You can read the updated list here: Staebler 150 – Charity & Community

In addition, more than 590 combined hours of volunteer time has been given to organizations such as Food4Kids, Nutrition For Learning, the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, The Pregnancy Centre, Extend-A-Family, KidsAbility, and more!

During the Holiday Season, our Charity & Community Involvement Committee was busy with more targeted give backs aimed at helping provide a special time of year to people in our community. They included:

• Personalized stockings and gift bags for residents at A Better Tent City
• Surprise gifts for residents of Highland Place Retirement Residence
• Donating toys and gifts to Kitchener Salvation Army’s Toy Mountain Campaign (WATCH HERE)
• Delivering toys and gifts to children at Grand River Hospital’s Children’s Inpatient Unit

It has been an incredible year celebrating our company’s 150th anniversary. One with fond memories, good wishes, and many new memories to come as we see the impact these community groups and charitable organizations have on people who need it most.
