Here’s a guide to some of the top activities to enjoy during March Break 2026:

actOUT! Drama Camp

Ages 5-12, March 16-20

Keep your little camper active all day while they enjoy drama games, dramatic movement, improv skills, skits and much more. Camp hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is located at 844 Frederick St. Kitchener. Learn more: actOUTKW.com

Kitchener Rangers Downtown Showdown

March 18, Noon-4 p.m. at Carl Zehr Square

The Kitchener Rangers are taking over Carl Zehr Square (Kitchener City Hall) to host the second annual Downtown Showdown. The event will happen rain, snow, or sunshine so get ready to join the Rangers for an afternoon of fun!

Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

Step into the “Magical Morphos” at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory. This serene space is home to thousands of butterflies, tropical plants, and even exotic birds. March Break hours are extended from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., March 16-20. The conservatory hosts themed events and activities, making it a magical experience for visitors of all ages.

Cineplex Family Favourites

March 16-20

You can visit participating Cineplex theatres near you and watch one of your favourite family film for only $3.99. Check the listings on Cineplex.com for a theatre near you.

Sugar Bush Tour

Saturdays from March 14 to April 4, 10:30 a.m. & 1:15 p.m.

Join a fun Sugar Bush Tour starting at St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market with a short video about Old Order Mennonites’ culture and lifestyle. Then you will board the bus for a scenic ride through Woolwich’s beautiful farming landscape. At the sugar bush you will meet Norman and Bernadine Horst and their family who will explain their unique maple syrup process. After the tour, explore their store for some delicious maple syrup and treats. This round trip lasts approximately two hours 15 minutes.

March Break Train Rides

March 19-21, 11 a.m. & 1 p.m.

Embark on a scenic winter heritage train ride starting at St. Jacobs Market Station or Waterloo Northfield Station with the whole family. Passengers of all ages will be able to view the countryside and farms.
