To avoid any confusion, yes, you still need to renew your licence plate  once a year, or once every two years (the choice is yours!). Your best option is to renew online every two years. The City of Kitchener announced this week their new anti-idling bylaw, which moves Kitchener more in line with similar bylaws in the neighbouring cities of Cambridge and Waterloo.
