Important car insurance extras

Collision

When you’re at fault in an accident, or single vehicle accident, your own insurer will pay for damage to your vehicle and its contents.

Comprehensive

This coverage pays for damage caused by certain events other than an accident. Examples include hail, flood, theft, fire, vandalism, or glass breakage.

All Perils

This coverage is collision and comprehensive combined with the same deductible. Also covers theft of vehicle by someone in the household.

Optional Increased Accident Benefits

Increases basic benefits for income replacement, medical or rehabilitation, and caregiver coverage. These are very important coverages that all drivers should consider.

Keep in Mind

While these coverages are not mandatory, if you owe money on your vehicle, your lienholder or lessor may require you to have collision, comprehensive, or all perils coverage to protect their interest in the vehicle.

Loss of Use

The OPCF 20 endorsement covers the cost of a temporary rental vehicle if your vehicle is not drivable after a claim for which you are covered.

Liability for Damage to Non-Owned Automobile

Waiver of Depreciation

The OPCF 43 endorsement stops depreciation from being deducted from the value of your vehicle when settling a claim.
