There were a few insurance items tabled in the 2015 Ontario budget and winter tires were one of them. The government announced yesterday that effective January 2016 all insurance companies must give a credit if winter tires are used.

Below is a list of companies we deal with that have already included the discount in their pricing model:

  • Aviva
  • Pembridge

Our remaining companies plan to have the discount in place by the required date of January 2016:

  • Economical
  • Gore
  • Travelers
  • Northbridge
  • Western Insurance
  • Guarantee Company of North America
  • Chubb
