Farmers Insurance No longer Covering Dog Bites for Certain Breeds

Some insurers estimate that as many as one third of all liability claims on homeowners policies relate to dog bites.

A recent change in the Farmers Insurance policy is surprising many dog owners: The company is no longer providing liability coverage for dog bite claims when it comes to three breeds — pit bulls, rottweilers or wolf hybrids.
