Canadian’s interest in pro basketball has grown exponentially over the past ten years. The success of the Toronto Raptors has fuelled that growth and encouraged more to get involved with the sport.

At Staebler, we don’t want to sit on the sidelines. That’s why we’re jumping on the court and entering into a new partnership with the Guelph Nighthawks, a professional basketball team in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).

The CEBL began with its first season in 2019, soon after the Raptors won their first NBA Championship. Currently the league has seven teams from as far west as Abbotsford, BC and as far east as Ottawa. The league is eager to continue expansion into more cities across the country.

Our most exciting aspect of the partnership is to be the presenting sponsor the Nighthawks season-long 50/50 draw, benefiting the United Way Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin. Tickets sales have begun and there are three draws scheduled throughout the summer. Get the details here.

Nighthawks tip off their regular season on Monday, June 28 at Ottawa. Their first home game at the Sleeman Centre in Downtown Guelph is on Friday, July 9. Click here for the complete schedule.

In addition to supporting the important 50/50 draw, we’ve aligned with the Nighthawks to have a presence at all their games including a special “Assist of the Game” feature, recognizing the best assist by one of the players.

Staebler brokers are excited to assist clients like you to find insurance solutions that fit your needs.

Simply call or email for a quote, mention you’re a Nighthawks fan, and you’re entered into a draw to win an iPad. No purchase necessary. Learn more at: https://www.staebler.com/nighthawks-members
