Staebler Insurance’s Charity & Community Involvement Committee is proud to share our recent donation to The Pregnancy Centre in Downtown Kitchener.

Since 1986, The Pregnancy Centre has provided resources and emotional support to people who are pregnant or parenting in crisis. They provide items such as diapers, infant formula, clothing, and other essentials to families in need.

Recently, the need for donated diapers has significantly increased and The Pregnancy Centre launched the Diaper Our City Campaign, a community-based drive to collect 400 boxes of diapers to help end diaper need in Waterloo Region.

Motivated by this local demand, Staebler Insurance held an office-wide Diaper Drive in October, encouraging staff to donate diapers, and proudly gave $1,000 to the Committee. Members then spent an afternoon shopping for diapers before delivering the much-needed supplies to The Pregnancy Centre.

“It was so positive to meet Staebler staff and see such a strong community response to diaper need,” said Kristina Overbeek, Director of Development and Community at The Pregnancy Centre. “The diapers we have in storage will make an immense difference in the lives of more than 350 families in Waterloo Region. Because of your support, we can face 2024 equipped with the resources to help.”

Kristina noted that diaper donations can help reduce the economic burden and stress on families, and promote infant and child well-being.
