With the return to school and the cooler weather upon us, Fall is right around the corner, but that doesn’t mean the fun ends with summer! Our team has compiled a list of some of our top suggestions for Fall Fun activities throughout Waterloo Region.

Check out Local Festivals

Kitchener Waterloo region hosts fun fall festivals that offer lots of free family fun! The Wellesley Apple Butter and Cheese Festival takes place on September 28 and will include a pancake breakfast, craft and food market. St. Jacobs will be hosting their Pumpkinpalooza again this year as well, with trick or treating, a costume contest, and pumpkin carving on October 6.

Explore Local Walking Tours

Whether you are looking to enjoy the fall foliage or are looking for something a little spookier, KW offers a walking tour that appeals to everyone! Check out the Historic St. Jacob’s walking tour and a number of other locally curated walking tours offered through Stroll Walking Tours. If you’re looking for something a bit more on the spooky side, check out the Bloody Berlin Walking Tour offered through the Schneider Haus.

Pick the Perfect Pumpkin

Nothing says Fall more than visiting a pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. With a number of wonderful pumpkin patches in Waterloo Region and beyond, there’s plenty of Fall fun to pick from! Here is a list of all the local Fall destinations that offer pumpkin picking, corn mazes, apple picking, and even campfires.

Join in on Oktoberfest Festivities

Kitchener is known for hosting the largest Oktoberfest celebrations outside of Germany and they are definitely worth checking out! This year continues to be an exciting one with a number of concerts, family events, and even a Dogtoberfest event beginning September 28.
