Staebler Insurance is proud to partner with Heartland Mutual Insurance Company to provide two significant donations to Waterloo Region’s Nutrition For Learning.

Throughout our 150th anniversary year, Staebler Insurance’s celebrations have included connecting with many charities and organizations that have significant impacts in Kitchener, Waterloo, and surrounding areas. Nutrition For Learning is one that is close to our team’s heart and that relies on community support to continue their important work.

Recently, members of our Charity & Community Involvement Committee joined representatives from Heartland’s IHeart Community Fund to present combined donations of over $16,000 to Nutrition For Learning.

It was a humbling experience to hear about the ongoing need in our community and learn about how these gifts will help Nutrition For Learning’s mission. Established in 1997, they now serve 178 schools throughout Waterloo Region. Their vision is to ensure “all students are nourished at school so they can learn, connect, participate, and thrive” at school.

Research has shown that students learn better when they are well-nourished. Studies have also shown that students who eat healthy meals are able to achieve higher grades, have better memory, and process information faster.
